The following is an excerpt from the column on the board member appointment:
Art Marks, who left his position as general partner at Baltimore's New Enterprise
Associates in June after a 17-year run at the firm, was chosen this
week to join Multicity.com Inc.'s board. Marks and the Vienna software
company, which helps businesses create instant online communities,
confirmed the freshly struck deal yesterday.
Frank A. Adams, managing general partner of Timonium, Md.-based
Grotech Capital Group, joined Multicity's board last year after
his firm led a $15 million investment. Adams said Marks will be
taking a vacant seat that was held by Grotech to join as an outside
board member and not as an investor.
